Join us for a family-friendly, all-ages bird banding event led by bilingual scientists at . Visitors will have the opportunity to observe bird banding up close, learn about bird biology, behavior, and migration, and even help release birds back into the wild. Banding begins at sunrise and runs for 5 hours; guests are typically invited to arrive around 7鈥�8 AM depending on sunrise time and can stay until closing at 12 PM. This is an educational and immersive experience in nature鈥攊deal for families, bird enthusiasts, and curious minds of all ages!
Date and Time: Saturday, September 20 from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM (welcome to stay the entire time or arrive and leave as needed)
Location: Diane Moore Nature Center - (intersection of Warm Springs Ave and Highway 21 in Boise)
Registration: Please . This event is limited to 50 people. Please notify or cancel your registration if you cannot attend so someone else can take your place.
Important Notes:
- Not ADA accessible (gravel path)
- No nearby bathrooms
- Please bring your own water, snacks, and weather-appropriate gear (sunscreen, bug spray, layers, etc.)
- Visitor cap: 50鈥�60 people (typically 20鈥�40 attend)
