Join a refuge staff member to clear vegetation from trails and boardwalks in preparation for future re-opening of the refuge beach. Please bring PPE (leather work gloves, boots, long pants/shirt, sunscreen, bug spray) and plenty of water and a lunch. Poison ivy and biting insects are prevalent. A safety talk will be provided. Tools will be provided. We end the day with some sweet treats for you! Meet Refuge staff at the headquarters building located at 6 Plum Island Turnpike, Newburyport, MA 01950.
