Overview
Schiedea attenuata, a member of the pink family (Caryophyllaceae), is an erect, sparingly branched shrub characterized by sparsely puberulent (with minute purplish weakly hooked or curved hairs) internodes, succulent, glossy, 5.3 to 7 cm (2 to 2.8 in) long attenuate leaves; a short, relatively open inflorescence; perfect flowers with green sepals (petals absent) and recurved nectary shafts; and five to six carpels with dark reddish-brown seeds.
