Hunting and Fishing Information for Clarks River NWR

Individuals 16-years-old or older and participating in hunting or fishing activities on the refuge, who are required to have a Kentucky State hunting/fishing license, must also have a refuge annual hunt/fish permit.  

Please refer to the refuge Public Use Regulation Brochure for current refuge specific regulations.

Clarks River NWR annual hunt/fish permits can be obtained at The 2024-2025 annual hunt/fish permits will be valid through July 2025.

Waterfowl Quota Hunts

Applications for the Clarks River National Wildlife Refuge Waterfowl Quota Hunt will be accepted, on the , starting September 1st through October 15th. Winners will be notified by email on October 18th and must claim their permit by November 15th. Unclaimed permits will be available on November 18th at 12 pm on a first come, first served basis. Only one permit may be claimed per user per season.
